Flexographic Press Operator 2 – Day Shift

About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Flexographic Press Operator 2
• Pay Rate Range: $25.00-$28.00/Hour
• Location: Oakdale, MN
• Schedule: Day Shift, Monday-Sunday 6AM-6PM, 12-hour Rotating Shift
--Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
--Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
• Position Type: Temp to Hire

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Requires a thorough knowledge of Flexographic printing procedures, materials and specifications, equipment, and safety requirements and skills to perform assignments.
• Skill to read and understand job specifications and knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate press usage, press settings and materials needed to run the job successfully.
• Skill to make a variety of difficult precise web paths, and adjustments, and to perform routine operational maintenance of equipment.
• Skill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills, excel, Word and Google, preferred.
• Skill in use of Mark Andy, Aquaflex, Comco, Webtron, Gallus, and Nil Peter preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• The position is responsible to set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a number of press equipment.
• Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the Flexographic press operated such as mounting plates or installing print cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and checks for correct positioning of images, prepping web paths, adjusting tension and register etc.
• Make necessary color correction and anilox adjustment and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality specifications of the work.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required.
• Performs periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer.
