About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Payroll and HR Specialist
• Pay Rate Range: $55,000.00-$62,000.00/salary
• Location: Burnsville, MN
• Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
• Position Type: Direct Hire
Requirements and Qualifications:
• 3–5 years of experience in payroll administration and HRIS management.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar payroll certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of benefits administration, including payroll deductions.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll and HRIS systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Although this role is primarily sedentary, some light physical activity, such as filing, lifting files, opening cabinets, and bending or standing as needed, is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• The Payroll and HR Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees in the organization.
• Work closely with Finance and other relevant teams to ensure compliance with all payroll-related laws and regulations.
• This role involves payroll processing, HR administration, compliance management, reporting, system maintenance, and employee support, while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Other Responsibilities Include:
• Process bi-weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees.
• Ensure accuracy in wages, overtime, deductions, and benefits.
• Review and approve changes related to wages, taxes, deductions, and addresses.
• Maintain employee information and manage payroll using ADP RUN.
• Assist in the implementation of bonus and incentive plans.
• Maintain and update HR records, ensuring seamless payroll integration.
• Generate payroll reports bi-weekly and get reimbursed by properties.
• Conduct payroll audits and implement internal controls for accuracy.
• Prepare payroll summaries and job costing reports.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Manage deduction setups, including benefits, garnishments, and miscellaneous adjustments.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
• Stay updated on payroll laws, industry trends, and best practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
