Display Maker – 2nd Shift

About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Display Maker
• Pay Rate Range: $24.00-28.00/Hour
• Location: New Hope, MN
• Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday-Thursday 3PM-1:30AM
• Position Type: Temp to Hire

Requirements and Qualifications:
• 2-year technical/business degree or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years' experience in a production/manufacturing environment or similar
• Excellent cabinet making skills with emphasis on quality
• Operation of various woodworking equipment and hand tools is required
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work within tight deadlines
• Ability to read and comprehend prints
• Excellent work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to demonstrate and apply our workplace values
• Flexibility to travel between multiple PD locations
• Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment
• Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting may be required throughout the workday.
• Flexibility to travel between multiple locations

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Studies blueprints or drawings of articles to be constructed or repaired, and plans sequence of cutting or shaping operations to be performed
• Marks outline or dimensions of parts on paper or lumber stock
• Matches materials for color, grain, or texture
• Set up and operate woodworking machines such as power saws, jointer, mortiser, tenoner, molder, and shaper, to cut and shape parts from wood stock
• Trims component parts of joints to ensure snug fit
• Bores holes for insertion of screws or dowels
• Glues, fits, and clamps parts and subassemblies together to form complete units.
• Drives nails or other fasteners into joints at designated places to reinforce joints
• Sands and scrapes surfaces and joints of articles to prepare articles for finishing
• Repairs high grade articles of furniture
• Dips, brushes, or sprays assembled articles with protective or decorative materials such as stains, varnish, or paint
• Installs hardware such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls
• Performs other duties as assigned
