Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift

About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Maintenance Technician
• Pay Rate Range: $58,240-$79,040/Year
• Location: Plymouth, MN
• Schedule: 1st Shift Mon-Fri 7AM-3PM with optional O/T.
• Position Type: Direct Hire

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Ability to use hand tools and welding tools, as well as troubleshoot electrical systems
• Knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices
• Ability to inspect material for quality conformance using measuring devices and drawings
• Ability to follow detailed and extensive instructions
• Ability to read manufacturing equipment drawings and electrical and plumbing schematics
• 2+ years of related maintenance experience
• Able to lift and carry 50lbs
• Able to stand for an entire shift
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Physically performs highly diversified duties to maintain, repair, and improve machinery, equipment and warehouse facility in a safe and timely manner
• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
• Conducts regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and warehouse facility as required
• Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and make adjustments
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Participates in troubleshooting and maintenance of production and warehouse assets
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
• Detects faulty operations and defective material and report those and any unusual situations to supervision
• Performs a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
• Maintains a daily log of completed tasks
• Reports all maintenance issues to supervision promptly
• Understands and can explain the company’s Quality Policy, job description and required tasks and explain how this position impacts customer satisfaction and contributes to fulfilling Quality Policy
• Conducts housekeeping for personal work area and shared facility space
• Participates and fulfills the requirements of scheduled training and educational programs as identified for this position
• Participates as requested for independent objective auditing activity and supports continuous improvement activities
• May perform daily, weekly, and other routine maintenance and housekeeping on machines and equipment in work area
• Understands and uses related production documents as required by position and/or procedures
• Uses a calculator, conversion charts and basic math skills to calculate sizes, weights, and metric conversions
• May work at different workstations as production needs require
