Material Handler – 1st Shift

About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Material Handler
• Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
• Location: New Hope, MN
• Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:30AM-3PM with opportunity of O/T and weekend work
• Position Type: Temp to Hire

Requirements and Qualifications:
• 6 months minimum recent forklift experience (sit-down propane or stand-up electric preferred).
• Familiarity with SAP operating systems and Lean Manufacturing practices preferred.
• Operates power equipment, loads and unloads trucks and moves bulky material or equipment.
• Exposed to engine exhaust and outside conditions while working on dock.
• Walks or stands continuously.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Uses power operated material handling equipment, receives, and stores incoming materials. Moves incoming materials and stock from receiving to storage area. Checks move order or identification ticket for location. Stores items in designated area.
• Loads and unloads items such as machinery, equipment and raw materials from trailers and flatbeds using wire slings to bind loads while hoisting and moving with power operated material handling equipment.
• Process shipments to customers within scheduled timeline. Shipments must meet SQDCI standards and follow proper shipping procedures. Use SAP operating system, as required, to complete shipments, inventory, and move stock.
• Fills orders for raw stock and miscellaneous items. Read orders for quantity and description of requested items or materials. Draws materials from storage area, indicates “amount used” on order and spots load in outgoing area.
