TIG Welder – 1st Shift

About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: TIG Welder
• Pay Rate Range: $23.00-$27.00/hr
• Location: Delano, MN
• Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Thursday 6AM-3:30PM and Friday 6AM-10AM
• Mandatory overtime as required *schedules may vary.
• Position Type: Temp to Hire.

Requirements and Qualifications:
• High School education or equivalent.
• Welding certificate from college or technical school.
• Prior welding experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong math skills, visual inspection, and computer abilities are necessary.
• Strong planning, organizing, and time management skills. Able to work collaboratively and/or independently.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to use a variety of torches, hand tools, and power tools safely.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• References prints and work instructions to determine the appropriate materials, tools, resources, and procedures for effectively completing processes.
• Select and assemble TIG torch or MIG guns, torch tips and filler rods for what is required for each job.
• Positions component parts together to obtain required configurations and weld to meet print requirements.
• Examines welded sections for defects.
• Inspects, tests and adjusts completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements using test equipment, rulers, calipers, etc. to ensure accuracy and conformance to Quality standards.
• Able to work as part of a team in a manufacturing cell utilizing single piece flow concepts.
• Demonstrate consistent commitment to quality and possess exceptional attention to detail.
• Maintains clean and efficient workspace.
• Properly scan in and out of jobs.
• May assist in training other welders.
